BRANDING CASE STUDY - I DO WEDDING MOVIES
When Cara approached us looking for a logo design for her new wedding movie business, she had a very clear vision of what she wanted. The brief was cream, gold, linked wedding rings and old style film roll.
She came to M Design Co because we specialise in female run business' and it was important to her that her logo had a feminine feel to it.
All logo design clients are asked to complete our vision capture questionnaire. We need to get the vision and idea you have in your head down on paper in a way that helps us see it, feel it and be able to create it. We'll ask you about how you run your business, who your target audience are and what they like, as well as things like preferred styles, colours and fonts.
At this stage, any visual aids you can offer us are really helpful. So we ask that anything you might have seen that's given you inspiration or you feel represents your brand well are sent our way.
Cara had sketched out her ideas, and included some designs she'd had mocked up previously. You can see them over here
Clients initial thoughts and ideas
Taking inspiration from Cara's sketches and questionnaire we're able to get to work on the initial design concepts.
When you book your logo package, you're given 3 initial concepts. This is essentially us creating a visual representation of what we've understood from your design brief. They help us understand whether we're on the right path, and your feedback on these helps us create your first draft.
These are our initial concepts for 'I Do Wedding Movies'. We played about with the best way to integrate the camera film, and a mixture of metallic and flat gold/beige colours.
Cara chose the third option as her favourite, and we continued the design process from there.
After a couple of revisions, we had the final design! As you can see, the box around 'I DO' was removed, the rings made thicker and the diamond switched to blue from gold.
Your logo should speak clearly to your audience. Font, style, colours and layout are incredibly important and we really feel this logo does this perfectly.
Cara, thank you for your business and for trusting us with your branding. We can't wait to see you launch 'I Do Wedding Movies'.
